CROWDER COUNSELING PLLC
WOUND CARE FOR THE SOUL
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Feeling stuck? At a crossroads in your emotional life, relationships, or career? Even the strongest among us can feel lost, unsure, ambivalent, or unhappy at times. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I can help you understand and manage whatever life throws at you in a safe and supportive environment. I believe that you have the strength not just to survive, but to truly thrive.
Melinda is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She received her MS in Community Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2013. Before her counseling career, Melinda worked for IBM for 11 years in Supply Chain Management. As a Process Improvement Lead, she traveled the world on high-profile assignments to locations such as Brazil and parts of Europe and Asia. While traveling, Melinda learned that people hurt the same, no matter their race or geographic location. She was sensitive to painful stories shared by others, both in the States and overseas and felt the need to act. Receiving guidance from her mentor, she enrolled in college to complete her master’s degree in counseling. Since then, Melinda has worked with adults in a variety of settings that include private practice, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and non-profit agencies. Most recently, she served as a Program Director for an addiction treatment facility near the Dallas area.
Support That Makes a Difference
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR WOMEN
Support and Encouragement
As women, we serve different functions oftentimes neglecting our self-care needs. Self-care is not selfish. Instead, it's soul care. Taking time to become aware of your issues and making a commitment to change are the first steps towards growth and development. If you struggle with depression, anxiety, anger, difficult relationships, divorce, singleness, addiction, grief, trauma, or abuse of any kind, I am here to help.
